In preparation for the Eucharistic Congress 2012 the sisters have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Thurs. 3p.m. – 4p.m.
All are welcome to come for quiet prayer.

The club meets every Wednesday in Firhouse Community Centre 2p.m.–4p.m.

New members for Church Choir

The church choir needs new members, especially men and young people. Rehearsals on Wednesday in Scoil Carmel from 7.45p.m. – 8.30p.m.
Parents: If any of your children would like to sing with the choir on Sundays, please phone Ray(contact parish office for his mobile number).If there are enough children interested , we would have rehearsals before mass on Sundays.

Dodder valley Partnership is offering free training (Fetec accrediation in Computer Literacy and Personal Effectiveness) Tues/Wed/Thur 10a.m.-1p.m. for 8 weeks.

Age Action Care & Repair Programme

Are you 60+ years of age? Have you a small repair job which you would like to have done for you?
The care and Repair programme (run by Age Action Ireland ) uses a pool of trustworthy volunteers and handypersons to carry out minor repairs for older people.
All volunteers are vetted and carry offical Care and Repair identification cards. The service is free; you only pay for the materials used.
For your bigger jobs, we m aintain a register of honest and reliable tradespersons. We are also accepting requests for small gardening jobs.
You can arrange to have a job done for you by phoning the Age Action and Repair number which is 1890 369 369 or 01–4756989.

Used stamps

The Carmelite Fathers collect used stamps for their missions. Please drop them into the parish office.

Baptism


The sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the third and fourth Sunday of each month at 1 p.m. registration in parish office four weeks in advance.

Used cans


Many thanks to those who continue to drop cans into the driveway of 66 Monalea Wood. The money raised goes to the most needy in 3rd world countries. Don´t you can now include tin cans (including biscuit tins etc)

Volunteers urgently needed for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress 2012

Volunteers will have an integral role to play in the success of the Congress. Between two and three thousands of volunteers will be needed during the week of the Congress and also to assist in preparations in the months leading up to the Congress. The Congress is now recruiting volunteers for a wide range of roles such as administration, data entry,stewards,marketing, transport, meet & greet, mutlimedia, pastoral, preparation and much more! We need 10 people per parish from the Dublin Diocese.
